Does your baby need a bib to catch leaking or dripping milk during bottle feeding? With the right bottle, most babies do NOT need a bib.
If your baby is using a bib, take a minute to check if the nipple s/he is using is a slow flow nipple. You’d be surprised at how many times we have seen a medium flow nipple inserted into the nipple ring by mistake!
Also look at your baby’s latch. Your baby’s lips need to form a complete seal around the nipple base. If this isn’t happening, chances are your baby is on the wrong shape of bottle nipple. You may need to try a different nipple. Learn more about how nipple shape influences latch here.
